The scariest ride of my life….
Still shaking…….Wow the ride up the mountain about killed me. It was ~7000 feet, steep incline in a glass box. I had to close my eyes, and clutch both the rail of the car and Bruno. My bones were shaking. We scaled the clouds…I had a hard time looking at the view. Luckily Bruno snapped photos.
After getting to the mountain, I was scared to go down. I wanted to walk until Bruno explained the swinging bridges over the 3000 ft valleys. The glass box was the way to go. I prayed, got in, sat in the floor, wrapped my arms around Bruno’s legs, and quoted scripture all the way down. Praise God, we made it. Quite an adventure. Enjoy the photos…probably won’t happen again.
The Most Expensive Mac-N-Cheese
The day after a holiday is called a “Bridge” day because it bridges the holiday with a weekend. On bridge day, Bruno decided I needed to see the mountains. The region is called Appenzel, which is very famous for their Appenzellar Cheese. Coming to this region called for a variance from my normal schnitzel to mac-n-cheese. YUMMY…definitely not Kraft.
Touring the countryside
Living like the Swiss, I’ve really begun to love my bicycle (meine rosa velo). So on “ascension day” (the holiday to celebrate the ascension of Jesus to heaven), we took the bikes for a little “tour de Swiss”. My wonderful Bruno sometimes forgets that I am actually American and we toured the countryside for ~30 miles….thought my legs would explode. Contrary to expected outcome…I may have gained weight on the venture as we stopped for snacks several times along the way. What a beautiful site…flowers, hills, poppies…

Strasbourg, France
Spring Break...WHOO HOO!!! As a quick side trip, Bru and I decided to take an excursion to Strasbourg, France. It's so beautiful and we love to explore new territory. We perused the streets, shopped, ate, and had a wonderful time together. They had a very famous cathedral in Strasbourg...see photos.
Fashion Week...
Fashion Week in Auburn...there are so many amazing designers at school. I definitely expect big things from these girls. The fashion event was held at a ginormous mansion in auburn, on the lake. Garments were judged in the pool house, while guests mingled and dined. My model, Kayla, did a fabulous job of showing off my freemotion quilted cape. Thanks Kayla!!
